The most efficient way to replace digital print lamps
Replacement Lamp Cartridges for digital printing machines are the most efficient way to replace lamps at the end of life. Some companies offer to replace the lamp into the used cartridge, whilst this does save the cost of the original replacement cartridge from the machine manufacturer, it is also a false economy.
Reflectors
The reflector degrades with temperature and becomes less efficient as a reflector, it is also difficult to maintain the original shape after the old lamp has been removed. If we consider that even a well reshaped reflector could lose 15% of the Ultra Violet radiation destined for the ink, then it is obvious that the lamp will need to be replaced again very soon.
Quartzglass
The system also contains windows made of a high silica Glass called Quartzglass. This material has to be kept clean, a small amount of material on these windows will absorb a considerable amount of energy that should be drying ink, not heating up the system.
Complete cartridge solution
In order to help fix both of these issues Heraeus Amba offers a complete Cartridge solution for lamp replacement, and also replacement quartz plates allowing the customer to replace the entire optical system in the lamp head for little more than the cost of a replacement lamp.
Replacement cartridge pack contents
A replacement lamp cartridge, manufactured to the Amba Lamps® quality standard, a pair of cotton gloves and a 3mm Allen Key are also included in the pack.
Quartz windows can also be included in the pack. Once changed the lamp head will be as good as new!
